Arto Saari joins the éS team. At this point, Arto has made a great impact in his native Finland and is only beginning to gain notoriety in the U.S. He will go on to amaze everyone who sees his video parts, and become an integral part of the éS family.
Tony Evjenth becomes the first éS Team Manager. Tony’s ever-evolving comedy antics and casual management style bring a new influence to the éS team and add a structure it had been lacking.
Eric Koston, Rick McCrank, Bob Burnquist and Kerry Getz embark on the éS Brazil Tour.
Bob Burnquist is named one of Rolling Stone's Athletes of the Year.

I had a pair of k2s. I thought they were nice actually. They were sooo comfortable, somewhat durable, and had good board feel. I dont know why they stopped selling them so fast. I have that brazillian tour on dvd and its pretty sweet.

Hey Ocean-Jayme Fortune does rip. Where has he been? The brown Accels make a come back in Holiday 05/Spring 06 for one last time and then they are history for a while. Shops start getting holiday stuff in October/November I think.
We made these menikimati (spelling?) remix dvds that have the 10 yr time line, interviews and other fun stuff. Maybe we can do a give away with them or some thing.
1999 for me in terms of éS shoes was sketchy. I was rocking Accels and k1's or any thing I could hustle. Those other kicks were a bit gnarly for me...like whoa!
They have a video of the game of skate on the tws site. Before I saw that I had no idea who bates, carlin or that other were (something with an M). Jim bates did some tweaked out stuff but alot of it looked sketchy or just low. Carlin had some crazy ass pop to all his tricks, that was great. He should have won.

Okay on the mainpage for footwear if you clck on the k7 it comes up to the k7's mainpage if you look close on the heel elephant skin area ther's a little black thing under the elephant skin it's weird cause it's not on the regular elephant skin k7's can anyone explain this? It's weird check it out.

wow..where do i begin. Lots of questions. Ok, the k3 can't come back cause the factory that had that mold burned down. Javi is on the team but he likes to do things a bit differently. We have love for Javi and his video part in YéS is going to be out of control. I didn't check the k7 pic but it was a sample so it might be a bit different but nothing huge. That shoe is amazing to skate in. The invisible man shoe uses some sort of synethic leather I think. As far as shoe designs it starts out as a drawing and then is brought into Illustrator where the designers make some tweaks. Then we bring it to a 3D CAD program to figure out the shape. THEN...plans (like blueprints) are produced and sent to the factory. So much goes into shoe designs. If you are looking to jump in start making sketches and most of all have fun.

And whta about the EOS?
The EOS sole is used on a bunch of kicks. The k7 is one of them. As far as remaking the mold I don't think it's worth it cause we have so much other good stuff coming out. It's all about progression, keep things moving. We have some secret shit in the works that will get you guys pumped but you'll have to wait till Spring 06 and Fall 06..It's off the chain. Shop heads that previewed it said it's the best éS line to date. You will all be stoked. OH, and thanks to all you out there that made us the number 1 shoe brand (again) in skateboarding. We've only begun kids, only begun.

yeah, speaking of shoe sketches, i've been making a sketch of an eS shoe on Microsoft's Paint page on my computer and it looks pretty good. i made it like real teched out, with System G2O2 and all that stuff. it looks like a combination of the eS Arto, the Emerica Reynolds 1, and the Accel. its just a free hand computer drawing, but its fairly decent. if i could figure out how, i would post it in here.
Yeah ive been making some too in my classroom and not paying attention to the teacher i made some real cool ones like some real packed accels, i called them the paccels haha they have a cinthetyc toecap and lycra heel support sockliner and Flo2 and G2O2.
And the MACK with a rubber toe cap and made it look like the LAKAI NYLA. haha
Somethign funny is that i was making this colorway for the Accelplus around Julyon my notebook and it was this black orange and brown and around right now it september i see it on skateamerica, i mean the same colorway.I went back to my notebook and saw it. And it was the same.
