Monday, Jan 16, 2006 · craigSometimes you have to look at a situation and say to yourself, “Is this going to work out?” When you realize it isn’t, you have to make a hard decision and decide whether to keep trying or just cut the cord. Well, in this instance, we decided we needed to cut the cord. So, now it’s time to say later, Twuan. We have mad love for you, but we gotz to keep rolling.

He did what he did at éS and now he’s passing the legacey on. As for Twuan, the kid got mixed up. He had mad dudes putting pressure on him and he couldn’t make his mind up what he wanted to do. We couldn’t sit here and wait for him to make a decision so we decided to just cut that shit off. It’s fucked when kids come up as fast Twuan did (or is doing). Everyone wants a piece and that can stress a 17 yr old out. It goes from skating with your bros to making big money deals and traveling the world. Are we bummed we had to let him go..sure but we ain’t going to wait around while others be making Twuans mind up for him. We wish the kid the best and I hope he’s able to maintain cause life can get hectic if you ain’t around the right heads. Don’t worry about us kids. The team is being worked on and the product has never been better. All the new stuff we got cooking is straight up retarded. SP06 is the beginning and FA06 is off the chain and SP07 is looking tighter than ever. And to all you haters your hate just fuels us. Go buy some wake board brand and leave the skate only brands to the real skaters.

I don’t know the reality of the whole situation, but it’s just a shame to see a kid like Antwuan (who suddenly became “officially” on éS post-Baker3) lose the support of éS when the problem probably could’ve been solved with a simple conversation about why he should stick to the shoes he chose to wear in the first place. Whatever.

As for Javi, the dude rips and his ad will be out soon. It’s a gnarly trick on top of that. All in all the industry side of skateboarding can be pretty wack but if you are in it you just have to learn how to roll with it. All you dudes need to focus on is getting those switch tre’s on lock and finding new spots with your friends. The biz side of things can really distort why we all picked up the stunt wood in the first place.

I’m bummed Antwaun and Penny have left they are two very unique skaters that can’t be replaced. I hope Supra goes bakrupt. Koston is sort of the face of eS and who will take his place when he leaves. All I can say is PJ and the rest of the team better stay. Don’t just put anybody on though the riders have to have something special about them. It will be gay if the industry starts making every rider of a shoe brand skate there clothes and vice versa.
p.s. I know a perfect fit Mike-Mo Capaldi, trade lakai him for Koston since Koston is leaving anyway.

Go to your local mall and walk into pacific sunwear so you can see what colorways of accels are available to everyone who doesn’t skate. I used to be a huge és supporter, but my faith has faltered a bit. And Craig, you said “Go buy some wake board brand and leave the skate only brands to the real skaters.” Well PacSun doesn’t sell wakeboard stuff, but there are plenty of nonskaters that go into pacsun that are going to buy éS now.

If you can only get your kicks at Pac Sun then get them from there. It all comes down to your decision and where you want your hard earned dollar to go to. We only make skate shoes and shoes we dig. We only have one team and that’s a skateboard team. We are just of bunch of skate dudes making shoes that we can skate in. Now back to topic.
