How’s the shop doing?
We are rocking in the free world!

Who is your typical customer?
My typical customers are young dudes from 9-15 who wear girls’ pants, bandanas and any other type of wacky pirate gear they can find.

Do you have any interesting shoplifting stories?
Not too interesting, cuz they all cry like little bizneeatches when they get caught and the cops roll up. I hear the saddest stories.

Do you get any crazy people coming in off the street?
My boy Crazy Henry has been coming in here a lot lately. He is known for skating around the park wearing a rainbow Speedo, getting stuck in the chimney while trying to crash a high school prom, and more recently being convicted of arson. He is sick at longboard skateboarding, though, with Miller flips, early threes and front boards down 10. The last time I saw him, he was wearing a caveman outfit he had fashioned out of an old shag rug and he smelled like rancid whale blubber. Much love, though.

Name the most popular skate videos currently playing in the shop.
The Revolution video is pretty hot right now. Psych! Really though, Zero or Die, Baker 3, Good and Evil, and the Tony Hawk Trick Tips volumes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are slamming.

Do you do any special events like video premieres, signings or demos?
I skate.

Do you have any future events coming up?
I’m always down for signing autographs and stuff. I try to put together a video premiere every year featuring the Revolution team ripping.

Are there any skate parks near your shop?
We have a nice concrete park in our town, but the cops are there all the time, protecting and serving up a plate of hot bullshit.

Ian Harper, Nate Harper, Forrest Koogle, Orion Musselman, Isaak Kenyon, Danny Ramirez, John Ponts, Danny Carithers, Jimmy Solewick, Sean Dakayonon, Tim Breen, Evan Tauzer, Orion Organist, Zeke Gifford, Tony Caniveri and Stuart Guidry.

What’s the best part of running a skate shop?
Working on my own agenda and just being surrounded by rad people, cool customers, good friends and always being submersed in the best subculture in the world: skateboarding.

Which éS shoes sell the best in your shop?
Right now, the Accelerate because people are digging the System G2 Full Impact™ steez.

What’s the best part about éS?
éS has a killer team. I mean, Eric Koston and P.J. Ladd are two of my favorite skaters. I also like the fact that éS shoes seem to be based on moderate, clean styles that don’t overtly try to be the most punk…except for Koston’s K7 Pink. Those were a little too rad for me.
