For 10 years, éS Footwear and Eric Koston have been synonymous with innovation and dedication in skateboarding. We would like to thank Eric for all his years of commitment to the progression of skateboarding and the éS footwear brand. While his absence from the team will be felt by all of his family and friends here at éS, we would like to wish Eric only the best in all his future endeavors.
But never fear, éS heads! For every ending, there’s a new beginning, and éS continues its legacy of making the most stylish and technical skate shoes ever with superior new footwear from fellow innovators P.J. Ladd and Justin Eldridge. As you know, we've also recently added new team riders Nyjah Huston and Silas Baxter-Neal, and the YéS video footage has been piling up like crazy. With recent filming trips to Miami, Australia and Puerto Rico, there is sure to be a ton more. No matter how you slice it, the future is looking bright for éS Footwear.

everyone needs to stop bitching, seriously. YéS is still going to be great, éS isn't losing steam. Koston didn't get kicked off like someone said, he left. We all knew he would soon to go to lakai. If he owns part of it, why shouldn't he skate for them. Plus, with Nyjah and Baxter-Neal and hopefully soon Bobby Worrest and Mike Barker on the team, éS is going to get better.

eS is going bad imean look at the shoes they are boring they are all the same the exactly same sole the exactly same looks they are all shity because they dont last but 2 weeks and i mean some people like me cant aford buying shoes all the time and i keep on eS because they skate good but they are not as durable the soleS come off, and i gueSs Koston got tired of that. im kinda gettin tired of that, the STI foam it peels apart and that didnt happen before with the regular EVA insoles, the G2 just works for a little while and then theres a point where you just cant feel it.
bring back some of the old shoes, if they used to buy them before like that why wouldnt they buy them right make them more durable, start using the High Abrasion leather for some atleast durability. start bringin back some old shoes use the old material toe caps you guys used in the K3 Burnquist2 K1 those were good shoes bring some old shoes back.

Apparently, there were negotiations with his contract, and any extensions he might be recieving, when he made a request. He requested that he be given the title part owner of éS shoes. This offer was turned down, and thus, Mr. K is off éS. Rumor has it that he will be going to Lakai, to start a partial ownership position there.

It is an April Fools joke, the reason it was posted on the 31st of March is because that was a friday and April 1st was on Saturday.....and I'm pretty sure our good friend Gary here doesn't work his days off.
Another theory i have is that he purposely posted on a day before April Fools to throw people off.
I can't really see Koston leaving eS, he has it too good here.......i don't think there is any Pro in the world that has as many signature shoes as Koston has, and i don't think any other shoe company would ever give one of their skaters that many signature shoes.

Hey Trevor TWS. I know of one pro who has had more pro model shoes than Eric Koston had on eS. Daewon Song. I think he just realeased his 9th shoe. Holy crap! But anyway, I can't believe Koston left. He was one of the only reasons why I was even going to buy the YeS video. 10 years. Wow. I guess his contract finally ended. If he gets on Lakai, then good. If he gets on Supra, good, because so far the team is looking pretty tight. Muska is even on Supra now. Eric, I wish you the best of luck and I hope that your next 10-15 years as a professional skateboarder are successful.

the reason koston left is because, pierre (owner and founder of soletech) however you spell it....declined when koston asked for a percentage of the company...now was it greedy of koston, maybe, but you have to realize when you have a cashcrop like koston you do not let him walk out because of your ego...koston is one of the biggest oldest and most respected names in the game, sure you can get up and comers but you gotta stick with the roots of it all if you want stability...to bad they couldnt work it out, good luck on lakai koston, no matter what goes down we all know who the real skaters are, keep it real and never let enytihng bring you down, keep progressing the sport man, later man and god bless

Eric Koston is no question the best skateboarder of all time. I am sad that he has left, but to be honest, this is just the beginning for éS. The team is freakin incredible and the product just keeps getting better and better. To me, éS will always have the best performing skate shoes and I know I've tried numerous brands........but I always go back to my roots......which is éS.

Es had a re-release in the works called the EK-03, which is similar to the whole EK-01 redo with a few adjustments. I think they were gonna put in a better sole and stronger N2 airbags. Yes, the K8 looks like a lakai and is will have a similar design under that name soon. Along with his switch bigflip and nollie heel noseblunt in his upcomming ads and skateboard mag interview.
