Notes: The Ray Bones skull and sword graphics from 1978 pretty much set the tone for a lot of board graphics in the '80s. Many of the early Dogtown graphics from the late-'70s were a huge influence on everyone, as well, and this Jim Muir design was especially cool on the top of the board only, under clear grip tape. The originial Duane Peters graphics from 1980-81 were the simplest ever, and an idelible icon of the original punk era that really captured the essence of the Master of Disaster. Neil Blender drew a few popular board graphics throughout the '80s and '90s. Faces, from 1988, was totally M.C. Escher-influenced, but one of Neil's best anyway. Last but not least, I love Chris Johanson's art, which often depicts the harshness of street life--the very cradle of skateboarding. What are your favorite board graphics?

    i think that some of the ATM graphics are pretty sweet, but i would have to agree that the G&S Neil Blender Faces by Neil Blender (1988) is one of the best.
