Rick McCrank Speaks on the Norton!

Posted: April 2, 2007 | Skip To The Comments (6)

Let's talk about your new éS Norton shoe. Which past shoes (or anything else) inspired or influenced your design?
The Anti-Social and the Accel.

Did the Norton go through many major changes, or did you have a strong idea of what you wanted from the start?
Minimal changes.

What, if anything, inspired or influenced your choice of colorways?
I looked at what the industry lacked and started there.

Will we ever see any special fabrics or patterns on the Norton in the future?
Yes, I'm working on that: denim, hemp, synthetic space-age polymers and grip tape. Just kidding about those last two.

What kind of colorways will we see on it in the future?
Poppy ones.

How has the reaction to the Norton been so far from those who've skated it?
No drama.

Does it skate good?
Perfect.

Are you happy with the way it turned out?
Totally.

Buy a pair of the Norton today down at your local shop. If they don't have it, order online.

Look choice as. I think eS should consider doing like a Accel High. That would be rad.
