After witnessing firsthand Paul Rodriguez's incredible rollerplank talents, Eric Koston takes him under his wing and introduces Paul to the world of professional skateboarding by adding him to the éS and Girl squads.
éS Footwear premieres it's heavily anticipated Menikmati video to wide public acclaim. The arrival of Menikmati inspires a new movement of shoe company skate videos into an arena that had previously been dominated in large part by hardgoods manufacturers.
Arto Saari joins the éS team. At this point, Arto has made a great impact in his native Finland and is only beginning to gain notoriety in the U.S. He will go on to amaze everyone who sees his video parts, and become an integral part of the éS family.
Kerry Getz, Rick McCrank and Brandon Turner join the éS team. Getz is synonymous with Love Park, McCrank is the greatest street skater to come out of the Vancouver, BC area in over a decade, and Turner is a cornerstone of the Shorty's empire that dominates the board market for over two years.
