biography:
The thunder from down under, Cale Nuske is a big stair, handrail and ledge banger who is also more than capable of busting the fanciest moves alongside the most accomplished tech dudes out there. He effortlessly combines the ollie skills of Rodrigo Tx. with the mathematical approach of P.J. Ladd and the solid style of Eric Koston. Any way you slice it, Cale’s skateboarding and personality fit in perfectly on the éS team.
Born October 5, 1984 in Adelaide, Australia, Cale began skating in the late ’90s with the obligatory “friends near home”. With a serious lack of real street spots in Adelaide, skating street parks was his only option, which may help explain our man’s consistent artistry with the most difficult moves on any and all obstacles. Oh, Cale also played basketball for a minute, but quickly made the wise choice to give it up for the good life of skateboarding.
Really outgoing, Cale will stop and talk to anyone, and with that Australian accent and his handsome good looks working for him, he’s definitely a ladies’ man. At the same time, Cale’s also a very responsible and respectable young man who is loyal to all of his sponsors and people in general. You can usually find Cale skating with friends in Australia, the Cliché guys in Europe, and Scuba Steve and fellow éS team riders in the U.S. Not surprisingly, his job highlight as a pro skater is “just traveling all the time and seeing new places. It’s the best.”
Cale’s off-board hours are spent just hanging out with friends, relaxing and listening to hip-hop, and his future goals include filming for the next éS video. Seeing as how the entire éS team can’t wait to scope Cale’s upcoming parts, you just know they’re going to be off the charts. Keep your eyes peeled and your tabs on this young gun.
