NBS is a numeric rating of the density and abrasion-resistance that is given to rubber. 400 NBS is the highest grade of rubber that allows a shoe to be flexible and avoid cracking. All éS outsoles have a rating of 400 NBS, which makes for a much more durable skate shoe.
